This NDIS support item is designed for participants who require ongoing help from a person who either lives in their home or travels with them to provide support. It falls under the Core - Assistance with Daily Life support category.

Purpose and Scope
The primary purpose of this support is to provide a participant with assistance and/or supervision of personal tasks of daily life. The ultimate goal is to develop the participant's skills so they can live as autonomously as possible.

This can include a wide range of daily activities where the constant presence of a live-in or travel-along carer is considered a reasonable and necessary support.

Key Feature: Subject to Quotation
Unlike many other NDIS supports, 01_003_0107_1_1 has no set price limit and is subject to quotation. This means it has specific and strict claiming rules:



Stated Item: This support must be specifically included as a "stated item" in the participant's NDIS plan.



Quotation Required: A provider can only claim for this support if they have first provided a detailed quotation to the NDIA for approval.



NDIA Approval: The NDIA must review and approve the quote before the support can be funded and delivered.

A provider cannot claim for this support from a participant's plan unless these conditions have been met.
