Where a support item does not have a price limit then the provider and participant should agree on the reasonable price for the support. If necessary, they should also agree on the billing schedule for the support. In the NDIS Support Catalogue marked under empty type.
This line item is for providers to deliver on-call overnight assistance to a participant, helping them live safely and independently. It is a specialised support that requires prior agreement and quotation with the NDIA.
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of 01_017_0107_1_1 is to provide overnight on-call assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily living. This support can be provided either on-site or off-site and applies to any day of the week, including public holidays.
The support item covers an eight-hour period and includes up to one hour of active support for the participant during that time.
Claiming and Pricing Rules
This support item has unique claiming rules that participants and providers must follow:
Subject to Quotation: The item does not have a set price limit in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Providers must submit a quotation to the NDIA for approval.
Stated Item in Plan: This support can only be claimed if it is specifically included as a stated item in the participant's NDIS plan.
Because it is a quoted support, providers must not use this line item unless it has been explicitly approved and written into the participant's plan by the NDIA.
