Line item 01_250_0115_1_1 covers the physical accommodation component of a short-term stay. It ensures the participant has a safe, clean, and accessible place to stay, facilitating a mutually beneficial break from primary informal supports while maintaining their usual standards of living.

Inclusions
* Accommodation Costs: Covers the room rate for a stationary accommodation setting, such as a designated facility, hotel, motel, short-stay rental, or cabin.
* Basic Amenities: Includes a clean and comfortable environment equipped with a bed, bathroom, and necessary accessibility features.
* Duration: Can be utilized for up to 14 consecutive days at a time, within the typical NDIS limit of 28 days of short-term accommodation per year.
* Homestay Arrangements: Can be applied to private homestay arrangements with a recommended host (excluding informal supports like friends or family).

Exclusions
* Personal Care Supports: This specific line item generally applies to the accommodation portion; active overnight or daily support worker hours may need to be billed under separate support line items.
* Holidays and Travel: Cannot be used to fund holiday accommodation (e.g., cruises, overseas trips) or travel-related expenses like airfares.
* Food and Day-to-Day Living: Excludes the cost of meals, groceries, and dining out, which are considered everyday living expenses.
* Entertainment: Does not cover the cost of tickets, activities, entry fees, or memberships during the stay.
