What the Support Covers
This hourly support item covers direct worker time spent:
Implementing Behaviour Support Plans: Following a plan written by a specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner to prevent or respond to challenging behaviours.
Intensive Intervention: Providing highly concentrated support or intervention required for the participant's safety or the safety of others.
Skill Building: Actively supporting the participant to build their capacity for self-management and emotional regulation during potentially volatile evening routines.
Important Note
This support is only to be used by participants whose NDIS plan includes a specific loading or indication for High Intensity Support or Complex Behaviour Support due to the requirement for workers with additional qualifications, training, or experience. The funding covers the support worker's time only and must align with the participant's individual support needs and goals.
