What the Support Covers

Specialised Weekend Care: Continuing complex clinical routines, such as managing high-level wound care, ventilator monitoring, or complex medication administration (e.g., injections).

Scheduled Clinical Interventions: Performing regular Saturday procedures, such as complex bowel management, catheter or stoma care, or administering regular, essential health checks that require professional nursing judgment.

Health Status Assessment: Assessing and monitoring the participant's stable but complex health status, ensuring proactive response to any minor clinical changes that occur over the weekend.

Important Note

Funding for this item must be substantiated by the participant's need for registered nursing services as a result of their disability. It covers the cost of the Enrolled Nurse only and must not be used for general assistance with daily living tasks that do not require nursing qualifications.
