This NDIS support item is listed under the Core - Assistance with Daily Life support category. It is for the provision of Disability-Related Health Supports.

Support Details

This line item covers nursing care provided to respond to a participant's disability-related health needs, where that care is not the usual responsibility of the health system. It has been duplicated into the Assistance with Daily Life Support Category to ensure participants have greater access to these supports when needed.


This item is specifically for supports delivered on a Saturday. For NDIS claiming purposes, a Saturday Support is defined as any support that starts at or after midnight on the night prior to a Saturday and ends before or at midnight of that Saturday (unless it is a Public Holiday or Night-time Sleepover Support).


Provider Qualifications

This support item must be used when the nurse delivering the support meets the classification of a Registered nurse - level 1 (RN1) under the Nurses Award 2020 (A.5.1). A registered nurse is defined as a person who has completed the prescribed education preparation, demonstrates competence to practice, and is registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as a registered nurse in Australia.

Claiming Guidelines

This support item can be delivered to individual participants or to groups, subject to the rules for group-based supports.
