This line item allows providers to claim a one-off fee to cover the initial costs of setting up service arrangements for participants engaging in group and centre-based activities.

Purpose and Scope
The Establishment Fee is designed to recognise the non-claimable administrative and setup costs that providers incur when starting services with a new participant.

This specific line item, 04_049_0136_1_1, is for providers who are registered to deliver supports under the Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation Support Category, specifically within the Registration Group: 0136 - Group and Centre Based Activities

Eligibility for Claiming
A provider can only claim this Establishment Fee if they have an agreement to supply a participant with a substantial volume of ongoing support. The key requirements are:

The provider must have an agreement to deliver a minimum of 20 hours per month of participation supports.

The agreement must be for three or more consecutive months.

Claiming Rules

Once per Provider: Each provider can only claim an Establishment Fee in respect of a participant once across all of their NDIS plans.
