NDIS Support Coordination - Level 2

Line Item Description

This NDIS support item 07_002_0106_8_3 is designed to strengthen a participant's ability to design and then build their supports by an NDIS Support Coordinator. It places an emphasis on linking the participant to broader systems of support, particularly across a complex service delivery environment.

The focus of Coordination of Supports is to assist participants in directing their own lives, not just their services. It aims to help participants build and maintain a resilient network of both formal and informal supports. This involves working collaboratively with the participant to understand their funding, identify what they expect from services, and determine how they want those services to be designed. This support also includes coaching participants and working with them to develop capacity and resilience within their network.



Coordination of Supports includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Understand the Plan
- Connect with Supports and Services
- Design Support Approaches
- Establish Supports
- Coach, Refine, Reflect
- Targeted Support Coordination
- Crisis: Planning, Prevention, Mitigation and Action
- Build Capacity and Resilience
- Report to the NDIA

This support item can be delivered to individual participants. In addition to direct service provision, providers can claim for:
- Non-Face-to-Face Support Provision
- Provider Travel
- Short Notice Cancellation (2 clear business days)
- NDIA Requested Reports

Providers can also claim for the costs of Provider Travel (Non-Labour Costs) using the associated line items 07_799_0106_6_3 or 01_799_0106_1_1.
