Line Item Description

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is a specialised capacity-building support designed for NDIS participants with a psychosocial disability. This service focuses on a recovery-oriented approach, supporting participants to live a purposeful and meaningful life by increasing their independence, social participation, and economic participation.

The Weekday Evening component (07_102_0106_6_3) is specifically provided during Monday to Friday evenings, typically between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am. This timing ensures that flexible support is available to individuals outside of standard business hours, addressing the unique needs and life commitments of participants.

A Psychosocial Recovery Coach (PRC) will work closely with you to:

Build a strong, respectful, and recovery-enabling relationship.

Help you identify, plan, and work toward your individual recovery goals.

Support you in taking more control of your life and better manage the complex challenges of day-to-day living, especially during times of increased support needs due to the episodic nature of mental illness.

Assist you in developing strategies to build resilience, increase your recovery skills, and improve decision-making.

Help you to better understand your NDIS plan and connect with mental health services and other relevant community and health supports.

Foster confidence, encourage self-advocacy, and facilitate greater community engagement.

This support is funded under the Capacity Building category of your NDIS plan and is delivered by an experienced worker with mental health knowledge, often including lived experience of mental ill health and recovery.
