It funds individual personal training sessions delivered by a qualified Personal Trainer to a participant, where the support is a reasonable and necessary way to build the participant's physical capacity and independence as related to their disability goals.

Key Outcomes and Activities:

Tailored Exercise Programs: The Personal Trainer develops and delivers a personalised exercise and fitness program designed to meet the participant's specific functional goals, such as improving core strength, balance, stamina, and physical conditioning.

Focus on Functional Capacity: The training is focused on improving physical function that impacts daily living activities, such as increasing the strength required to use mobility aids, transferring, or participating in community life.

Safe and Adapted Exercise: The trainer ensures that exercises are safe and appropriately adapted to the participant's physical limitations, health conditions, and mobility requirements, often working in consultation with other allied health professionals (like a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist).

Motivation and Routine: The support includes coaching, guidance, and encouragement to help the participant establish a regular exercise routine, build motivation, and improve confidence in physical activity.

Skill Transfer: The ultimate goal is to build the participant’s skills and knowledge to enable them to maintain their fitness activities with less reliance on the Personal Trainer over time.

Professional Requirement: This support must be delivered by a Personal Trainer who is appropriately qualified, typically holding a Certificate IV in Fitness and relevant insurance.
