It is part of the Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living support category. These supports are designed to provide therapeutic services to participants aged 9 or older to facilitate functional improvement, adjustment, and adaptation, and to build capacity for community participation.



This item can also be used for maintenance care to help a participant maintain their level of functioning or prevent functional decline. Furthermore, it can be used for the assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports.


Provider Definition
This support item is specifically for:

A person who is not one of the other specific types of professionals listed in the pricing guide (such as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Art Therapist).


The provider must be considered an appropriate professional to deliver therapeutic supports in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission's requirements for the Therapeutic Supports Registration Group.

Therapists who do not meet the definitions for other items but have been accepted by an NDIS Commission approved quality auditor as having the relevant qualifications, expertise, and experience.

Providers must claim against the support item that most accurately reflects the support provided. This item cannot be used if a specific line item exists for the professional type, such as Art Therapy or Music Therapy.
