Audiometrist hearing services

Line Item Description

This support item is listed under the 'Improved Daily Living' capacity building category and allows for the provision of hearing services that are not covered under the MBS.

This support can be delivered to individual participants but must be performed by a suitably qualified Audiometrist. An Audiometrist is defined as a person who is either a Current Full Member of the Hearing Aid Audiometrist Society of Australia or a Current Full Member as an audiometrist of the Australian College of Audiology.



In addition to direct service provision, claims can be made against this support item for the following activities, subject to the rules set out in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits:

Non-Face-to-Face Support Provision

Provider Travel

Short Notice Cancellation (2 clear business days)

NDIA Requested Reports

When claiming for provider travel time, the hourly price limit is 50% of the regular price limit for this support item. Providers can also claim for the non-labour costs of travel by using support item 15_799_0134_1_3.
