Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Exercise Physiologist

This NDIS support item delivers capacity building supports from an Exercise Physiologist to a child younger than 9 who has a developmental delay or disability.


Support Details
This support assists the child and their family or carers and aims to increase the child's functional independence and social participation. It can be provided in the participant's home, in the community, or in early childhood education settings. All services must be delivered in line with the NDIS Commission's NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators for Early Childhood Supports.


This item can also be used for the assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports if they directly relate to the participant's functional impairment and assist with activities of daily living.

Provider Qualifications
Services for this item must be delivered by an Exercise Physiologist, who is defined as a person who is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.

Claiming Rules
This support item is measured by the hour and can be delivered to individual participants or to groups.
