Line Item Description

This support item is part of the Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living support category. It is designed to provide therapeutic services to participants aged 9 or older.


The goal of this support is to facilitate functional improvement, adjustment, and adaption, helping to build a participant's capacity for independence and community participation.



Services delivered under this item can include:

Assessments, recommendations, therapy, or training provided by an Art Therapist.

Maintenance care aimed at helping a participant maintain their level of functioning, achieve small incremental gains, or prevent functional decline.

Assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports that relate to a participant's functional impairment.

This support can be delivered to individual participants or in a group setting.

Provider Qualifications This support item must be delivered by an Art Therapist who is a Professional Member with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA). Claims must be made against this specific line item and not under the 'Other Professional' item.


It can also be delivered by a Therapy Assistant (Level 1 or 2) operating under the delegation and supervision of a qualified therapist.
