Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Audiologist

Line Item Description

This support item provides therapeutic services from an Audiologist to NDIS participants aged 9 or older. It is designed for participants with an established disability and aims to facilitate functional improvement.



This item covers assessment, therapy, training, or recommendations. It can also be used for the assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports when these supports are required to assist the participant with activities of daily living due to their functional impairment. Services can be provided to participants individually or in a group setting.



This support may also be used for maintenance care, such as long-term therapy to achieve incremental gains or prevent functional decline.

Professional Requirements
Services must be delivered by a qualified professional or a therapy assistant operating under their delegation and supervision.


Audiologist: A person who is either currently certified as an Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist by Audiology Australia or as a Full Member as an audiologist with the Australian College of Audiology.

Providers can also claim for Provider Travel – Non-Labour Costs using the relevant support item (e.g., 15_799_0128_1_3).


Note on Provider Travel: In line with the rules for therapy providers, the price limit for provider travel time (labour costs) is 50% of the regular hourly price limit for this support item.
