Line item 15_615_0128_1_3 funds evidence-based therapy, functional assessments, individual therapy plans, progress reporting, and skills training delivered by a qualified Registered Music Therapist (RMT). This support uses the therapeutic impact of music on the brain, mind, and body to help participants improve or maintain their functional independence, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.

What Can Be Claimed
* Assessments & Progress Reports: Comprehensive functional evaluations and progress reports required for NDIS plan reassessments to measure goal outcomes.
* Direct Therapy Sessions: Individual or group interventions using songwriting, music making, music listening, or assisted relaxation strategies tailored to functional goals.
* Skill Building & Maintenance: Interventions focused on building new skills (such as communication, memory, motor coordination, and self-expression) or maintaining current functional capacity to prevent skill loss.
* Training for Support Networks: Educating family, informal carers, or support workers on how to carry out therapy strategies at home or in community settings.

Provider & Delivery Requirements
* Qualifications: Delivered by a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) with a university degree in music therapy who is registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association.
* Excluded Supports: Cannot be claimed for standard music lessons, recreational music activities, social art/music classes, or non-tailored therapy kits.
