Line Item Description

This support item is for capacity building supports in early childhood, delivered by a Podiatrist. It is designed to assist a child younger than 9 who has a developmental delay or disability, along with their family or carers.



The primary goal of this support is to help the child work towards increased functional independence and social participation. Services can be provided in the participant's home, in the community, or in early childhood education settings. All supports must be delivered in line with the NDIS Commission's NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators for Early Childhood Supports.


This item can also be used for the assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports, provided they directly relate to the participant's significant and permanent functional impairment and assist them with activities of daily living.

Provider Qualifications This support must be delivered by a Podiatrist who has a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration as a Podiatrist.

Delivery and Claiming This support can be delivered to individual participants or to groups, subject to the rules for group-based supports. In addition to direct service provision, providers can claim for the following activities using this line item:
