Line Item Description

The NDIS support item 15_619_0128_1_3 Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Podiatrist provides therapeutic services to participants aged 9 or older. Services under this item must be delivered by a professional who has a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration as a Podiatrist.



These supports are intended for participants with an established disability to facilitate functional improvement , and are aimed at adjustment, adaption, and building capacity for community participation. This item can also be used for maintenance care, where the primary purpose is to help a participant maintain a level of functioning, achieve small incremental gains, or prevent functional decline.



This line item can be used for the assessment, planning, and delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports. It can also be used to deliver reasonable and necessary training to non-qualified personnel or carers, enabling them to assist a participant as part of their usual daily care. However, it cannot be used for massage, which is considered more appropriately funded by the health system.



Services can be delivered to individual participants or in a group setting. In addition to direct service provision, providers can use this item to claim for:
