‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.

Line Item Description

Participants can’t use your funding to cover the cost of food, only to have the meals prepared and delivered. Remember, food is an everyday living cost for everybody, whether they have a disability or not, so we won’t fund the cost of food or ingredients. NDIS can only fund the preparation and delivery supports participant's need due to disability support needs.

Providers may ask participants to pay for the food and ingredients before the meals are prepared and delivered. Participant can ask providers to separate the cost of food from the total cost when you discuss the total cost for meal preparation and delivery. If a participant uses the funds in core budget flexibly to purchase meal preparation and delivery, they can claim:
• 100 percent of the invoice if the provider has removed the cost of food
• 70 percent of the invoice if the provider includes the cost of food in the total cost.
