‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.
NDIS Line Item 01_799_0128_1_1: Provider Travel - Non-Labour Costs for Therapeutic Supports
This line item allows NDIS providers to claim for the non-labour costs associated with travelling to deliver face-to-face therapeutic supports to a participant. It is intended to cover out-of-pocket expenses incurred during travel, separate from the therapist's time.
This line item is not subject to a price limit, but has a notional unit price of $1.00. This means claims should be made by setting the quantity equal to the total cost being claimed. For example, to claim $25.50, you would claim for 25.5 units at a price of $1.00 per unit.
What it Covers
Providers can negotiate with a participant to make a reasonable contribution towards travel costs incurred in addition to the worker's time. These include:
Vehicle Running Costs: For a vehicle owned by the provider or worker, a rate of up to $0.99 per kilometre is considered reasonable.
Other Associated Costs: This can include the full amount for road tolls, parking fees, and public transport fares.
Some activities can be delivered without the participant percent
Some providers can charge participants for the time it takes them to travel and deliver support
