‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.
This line item is used to claim for low-cost consumables related to a participant's disability-related health needs. The Consumables category is intended to assist participants with purchasing everyday use items.
The NDIS funds disability-related health supports when they:
- Directly relate to a participant's significant and permanent functional impairment.
- Assist the participant in undertaking activities of daily living.
- Are not the usual responsibility of the health system.
Supports claimed under this item must not be for health supports that do not relate to the participant's disability.
Examples of disability-related health supports that may require consumables include assistance with:
- Dysphagia
- Respiratory needs
- Nutrition (such as Home Enteral Nutrition or HEN)
- Diabetes
- Continence
- Wound and Pressure Care
- Podiatry
- Epilepsy
Registration and Claiming
Providers claiming for this support must be registered under the NDIS registration group Assistive Products for Personal Care and Safety (0103).

Some activities can be delivered without the participant percent
Some providers can charge participants for the time it takes them to travel and deliver support
