???? What Costs Are Covered?
This support item is designed to reimburse providers for additional costs incurred while transporting a participant, separate from the support worker's time. Covered expenses can include:

Road tolls

Parking fees

Running costs of the vehicle

The NDIA provides the following guide for what is considered a reasonable contribution towards these costs:


Up to $0.99 per kilometre for a vehicle that is not modified for accessibility.


Up to $2.76 per kilometre for a vehicle that is modified for accessibility or a bus.


Up to the full amount for other associated costs like road tolls, parking, and public transport fares.
