‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.
The NDIS line item 04_799_0104_6_1 allows providers to claim for the non-labour costs associated with travelling to a participant to deliver face-to-face high-intensity supports. Specifically, this item is used when providing supports under the "Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities - High Intensity Supports" category.
This claim is separate from the cost of the support itself and from the cost of the support worker's travel time (labour costs).
What Costs are Covered?
Non-labour costs are out-of-pocket expenses a provider incurs while travelling to a participant. The NDIA considers the following to be reasonable contributions:
Vehicle Costs: Up to $0.99 per kilometre for a vehicle owned by the provider or the worker.
Other Expenses: Up to the full amount for other costs such as road tolls, parking fees, and public transport fares.
Some activities can be delivered without the participant percent
Some providers can charge participants for the time it takes them to travel and deliver support
