‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.
This line item allows providers to claim for the non-labour costs associated with transporting a participant to, from, or as part of a capacity-building support.
Purpose and Scope
This line item is specifically designed to cover the transport-related expenses a provider might incur, separate from the support worker's time. Its purpose is to facilitate community access and participation for skills development activities.
With the participant's prior agreement, providers can claim for a reasonable contribution towards costs such as:
Road tolls and parking fees.
Vehicle running costs, up to $0.99 per kilometre for a standard vehicle.
Vehicle running costs, up to $2.76 per kilometre for a vehicle that is modified for accessibility or is a bus.
Fares for public transport.
Important Note: The support worker's time spent transporting the participant is claimed under the primary support item (09_009_0117_6_3), not this line item. This item is only for the additional, non-labour costs.
Some activities can be delivered without the participant percent
Some providers can charge participants for the time it takes them to travel and deliver support
