‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.
This line item allows NDIS providers of Physical Wellbeing Activities, such as Exercise Physiologists and Personal Trainers, to claim for the non-labour costs they incur while travelling to deliver face-to-face support to a participant.
These costs are separate from the provider's travel time (labour costs) and must be claimed using this specific item number.
Non-labour costs can include:
Road tolls and parking fees.
Running costs of the vehicle.
Public transport fares.
???? Reasonable Cost Contributions
While this item is not price-limited, the NDIS provides a guide on what is considered a reasonable contribution from a participant's plan:
For a vehicle owned by the provider or worker: Up to $0.99 per kilometre.
For other costs (e.g., tolls, parking, public transport): Up to the full amount of the cost incurred.
Some activities can be delivered without the participant percent
Some providers can charge participants for the time it takes them to travel and deliver support
