‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.

Line Item Description

This line item allows NDIS providers to claim reimbursement for the out-of-pocket travel expenses incurred when delivering face-to-face supports under the Improved Learning support category.

This support item is specifically used to cover the non-labour costs a provider incurs while travelling to deliver the support 13_030_0102_4_3 - Transition through School and to Further Education.


It is not for the provider's time spent travelling, but for the other expenses associated with the journey. These costs can include:

Road tolls

Parking fees

Running costs of the vehicle

The NDIA considers the following to be reasonable contributions towards these costs:

Up to $0.99 per kilometre for a vehicle owned by the provider or worker.

Up to the full amount for other costs like tolls, parking, or public transport fares.
