‘Notional Unit Price’ Support Line Item is a type of line items under NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Supports are not subject to a price limit and $1.00 is not the maximum price to be charged for a unit, it is how a claim is made to the NDIA.Each of the Notional Unit Prices might have their own pricing limits.

Line Item Description

This line item is used by Assistive Technology (AT) Mentors to claim for travel-related expenses incurred when providing face-to-face Capacity Building supports for personal care and safety. It specifically covers the non-labour costs of travel, not the time spent travelling.

This line item allows providers to be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses incurred while travelling to a participant. The NDIA considers the following contributions to be reasonable:

Vehicle Costs: Up to $0.99 per kilometre for a vehicle owned by the provider or their worker.

Other Expenses: Up to the full amount for costs such as road tolls, parking fees, and public transport fares.

Example: An AT Mentor drives their own car 20km to see a participant and pays for $5 in parking. With prior agreement, they could claim:

$19.80 for mileage (20 km x $0.99/km)

$5.00 for parking

The total claim under this line item would be $24.80.
